ADA kisah yang sangat masyhur yang tetap perlu menjadi pelajaran berharga bagi umat Islam. Kisah seorang khalifah yang hampir setiap malam berpatroli mengelilingi kota hingga pelosok desa guna mencari tahu langsung keadaan rakyat-rakyatnya.
Dia adalah Sang Amirul mu’minin, Umar Bin Khattab, khalifah kedua umat Islam.
Hingga pada suatu malam, saat beliau sedang berjalan di samping rumah seorang janda yang tinggal bersama putri semata wayangnya, tanpa sengaja beliau mendengar percakapan dari dalam rumah tersebut.
Ibu: Nak, tambahkanlah sedikit air kedalam susu, sebelum matahari terbit.
Putri: Jangan Bu, Amirul Mu’minin melarang kita melakukan hal tersebut.
Ibu: Tambahkan saja, toh Amirul Mu’minin tidak melihat kita!
Putri: Ibu, Amirul Mu’minin memang tidak melihat kita, tapi bukakah ibu tahu, bahwa tuhan Amirul Mu’minin pasti melihat kita?
Ruapanya, percakapan singkat ini sempat terdengar oleh Umar Bin Khattab yang akhirnya membuat Umar kagum dengan keshalehan dan ketakutan anak tersebut kepada Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala.
Keesokan harinya, Umar memanggil anak perempuan tersebut ke kediamannya.
Saat perempuan tersebut tiba, Umar memerintahkan semua anak laki-lakinya untuk berbaris kemudian bertanya.
“Siapa di antara kalian yang ingin menikahi perempuan ini?”
Umar sampai mengulangi pertanyaannya karena anak-anaknya diam dan terlambat menjawab pertanyaannya.
“Siapa di antara kalian yang ingin menikahi perempuan ini? Jika tidak ada, maka ayahmu yang akan menikahinya,” demikian tegas Umar.
Akhirnya, ‘Ashim yang kebetulan belum menikah, mengajukan diri.
Dalam kisah lain diceritakan, usai mendengar percakapan ibu dan anak perempuan ini, berurailah air mata Umar. Usai memimpin shalat Subuh di masjid, Umar memanggil anak “Ashim untuk menghadap “Wahai ‘Ashim putra Umar bin Khattab.
“Sesungguhnya tadi malam saya mendengar percakapan istimewa. Pergilah kamu ke rumah si anu dan selidikilah keluarganya.”
Ashim bin Umar bin Khattab melaksanakan perintah ayahndanya yang tak lain memang Umar bin Khattab, Khalifah kedua yang bergelar Amirul Mu’minin. Sekembalinya dari penyelidikan, dia menghadap ayahnya dan mendengar ayahnya berkata, “Pergi dan temuilah mereka. Lamarlah anak gadisnya itu untuk menjadi isterimu. Aku lihat insyaallah ia akan memberi berkah kepadamu dan anak keturunanmu. Mudah-mudahan pula ia dapat memberi keturunan yang akan menjadi pemimpin bangsa.”
Yang jelas, akhirnya menikahlah ‘Ashim bin Umar bin Khattab dengan anak gadis tersebut. Suatu malam setelah itu, Umar bermimpi. Dalam mimpinya dia melihat seorang pemuda dari keturunannya, bernama Umar dengan kening yang cacat karena luka. Pemuda ini memimpin umat Islam seperti dia memimpin umat Islam.
Mimpi ini diceritakan hanya kepada keluarganya saja. Saat Umar meninggal, cerita ini tetap terpendam di antara keluarganya.
Singkat cerita, dari pernikahan ini, lahirlah seorang putri yang diberi nama “Laila”.
Siapakah Laila?
Yah, Laila adalah cucu Umar bin Khattab yang di kemudian hari dinikahi oleh Abdul Aziz Bin Marwan Bin Al-Hikam. Yang dari pernikahan tersebut lahirlah seorang anak laki-laki yang diberi nama “Umar bin Abdul Aziz”.
Rasanya tak perlu kita bahas bani Khattab yang satu ini,
Tidak jauh dari buyutnya, selaut tinta tidak akan cukup menulis sejarahnya.
Binatangpun “bersatu”
Cukup kita tahu saja, bahwa beliau adalah Umar Bin Abdul Aziz Bin Marwan Bin Al-Hakam Bin Abu Al-Ash Bin Umayyah Bin Abd Syams Bin Manaf, seorang yang ahli fikih, penghafal hadits Rasulullah, mujtahid, seorang yang zuhud akan dunia dan ahli ibadah.
Pada Usia yang Ke 37 beliau diangkat menjadi khalifah, beliau memenuhi dunia dengan keadilah dan kebijaksanaannya, beliau adalah seorang pemimpin yang sangat takut kepada Allah, hingga kaum Muslimin sepakat menggelarinya sebagai Khalifah yang ke-5. Tercatat dalam sejarah berkah kepemimpinannya, bahwa semasa kepemimpinannya, semua rakyat hidup makmur dan berkecukupan, hingga zakat yang terkumpul di baitul maal diinfakkan ke negara tetangga, karena semua rakyatnya sudah tak layak menerima zakat tersebut.
Bukan hanya itu saja, pada masa kekhalifahannya, binatangpun hidup akur satu sama lain.
Dikisahkan pada masa beliau, srigala diternak bersama dengan sekumpulan kambing.
Hingga pada suatu hari, seseorang berjalan di tengah hutan dan melihat srigala menerkam seekor kambing, seketika orang tersebut bergumam, “telah meninggal Umar” dan benarlah adanya, pada saat yang sama Umar Bin Abdul Aziz berpulang kerahmatullah.
Subahanallah
Begitulah, jika ingin mendapatkan hasil yang baik, maka saat bercocok tanam, pilihlah bibit yang baik yang pula. Kaidah ini tidak hanya berlaku dalam pertanian, ini juga berlaku di kehidupan sosial kita. Jika ingin mendapat keturunan yang sholeh maka menikahlah dengan orang yang sholihah.
Tentu tidaklah mudah. Sebab sebelumnya kita harus mempersholeh dan memperbaiki diri kita terlebih dahulu.
